“Guiding individuals to trailblaze through life’s obstacles, toward personal growth, healing and emotional wellbeing.”

Do you sometimes feel like you’re not living the life you want? Ever feel like you don’t have a voice or a say in your own life? Maybe spending too much time wondering what others think of you and you can’t seem to shake the pressure? These are common experiences that clients I’ve worked with have overcome through my approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. Specifically, I work with adults and youth with high pressure to be “perfect,” without the grace they deserve as a human who makes mistakes. Sometimes this comes from taking on too much and feeling like they have to “do it all,” and for others the pattern comes from experiencing frequent judgment or shaming as a child or young adult. If this type of experience feels familiar to you, I would love to work with you.

Many clients have given feedback that they appreciate feeling seen and heard when meeting with me, and that their initial anxiety about starting therapy was quickly calmed once we met. Through our therapy work together, clients have been able to gain control over negative emotions and thinking patterns. Thoughts like “I’m not good enough,” “I’m at fault” or “I can’t make mistakes” are processed in therapy and are no longer carried around with them as they go about their lives. They gain confidence and are better able to deal with the demands of their life without jeopardizing their own wellness. I would be honored to help you develop a plan for success to achieve your unique goals.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

Since graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in 2010, I have dedicated my professional life to supporting positive mental health through my work with clients in clinic, hospital and educational/university settings.

I love helping clients with setting realistic limits and sharing their voice in their work and personal life - I can relate to this struggle and the process of learning to manage it well! Clients I work with often gain assertiveness and improved control over perfectionism, negative thoughts and emotions like shame and guilt.

I take a balanced approach to therapy. My goal is to help you by using therapy approaches that work, while also being flexible enough to shift when it will be helpful for you. I accept you as you are, and will be gently direct so you will have the support you deserve. I am motivated to partner with you on your journey!
